Here she is, the sister of the previously introduced bamboo scarf. 100% bamboo rayon in Deep Coral and Ivory, measuring 17.5″ wide by 77″ long. A generous length good for using as a shawl or scarf. I personally like larger scarves and the diversity they offer. It can be draped casually to add interest to an outfit. It can be carried along in a small bag to be used as a shawl when entering an air-conditioned room, or it can be wrapped around the neck several times with a sweatshirt or oversized sweater while roasting marshmallows on a cool summer night at the beach house. (Just don’t stand too close to the fire, mmmkay?)
The scarf is reversible! Side A…
I love how this scarf turned out. It is silky soft with lovely drape and sheen. The scarf has comfortable weight to it that will transition well with the seasons, though I do see it as more of a spring/summer scarf. Being that summer is very nearly here and I already have a sample scarf for when I return to bamboo weaving for spring 2011, I have decided to put this one for sale.
Due to the size, I originally had this scarf priced higher, but alas, I found an error in the fabric! It is hardly noticeable until pointed out, but I know it’s there. It doesn’t have any affect on the scarf other than it is slightly imperfect. Isn’t that part of its handwoven charm? It was indeed made by a human, and not a machine.
So if you are interested or have any questions, please email me at pirttinyc AT gmail DOT com. (Just replace the words with the appropriate symbols.) I am selling for $75 and that includes shipping. Payment is accepted by Paypal and the scarf will be mailed by USPS unless otherwise arranged. I have done my best to photograph the scarf true to its color. Monitors may vary!
ETA: The scarf has been purchased and is no longer available.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend! I am looking forward to a little vacation with my family before jumping in to my summer weaving schedule. Lots of plans coming up…yes, indeed!
